What are the signs of a slab leak?
Common signs include warm spots on the floor, the sound of running water when every fixture is off, a water bill that jumps for no clear reason, damp or cracked flooring, and lower water pressure. If you notice any of these, call us and our team will pinpoint the source.
How does leak detection work?
Our technicians use electronic leak detection equipment, non-invasive moisture detectors and infrared cameras to find the source of leaks and water damage, in walls, ceilings, attics, underground and crawl spaces, including slab leaks. Then they explain what they found and your repair options.
Can you inspect my plumbing if I don't think I have a leak?
Yes. Our team does thorough whole-home plumbing inspections, and a leak detection can be included. Inspections help catch future problems early and avoid leaks and water damage. More on inspections
What is the difference between a direct repair and a reroute?
A direct repair opens the area at the leak, including underground, and repairs that section of pipe. A single line reroute repair bypasses the old line, which is no longer pressurized, and runs a new line above ground. Exact provides the options in writing, with our recommendation.
Do you work with insurance companies?
Yes. Exact works with homeowners, adjusters and insurance companies, and new assignments are always welcome. Reports with photos are ready same day or next day, and same day on request. Paying out of pocket? That works too.
My insurance company requires a repipe, regulator, or shutoff device. Can you help?
Yes. Exact installs repipes, water pressure regulators and automatic water shutoff devices, and sends the documentation directly to your insurance company. Some insurance companies may even lower rates after a hot and cold repipe. More on insurance requirements
Can you give me a second opinion?
Yes. Second opinions are one of our specialties, by phone in some cases or on site. How second opinions work
What is epoxy pipe lining?
Epoxy pipe lining restores an existing water line from the inside instead of replacing it, which avoids a jackhammer. Our team will let you know whether it is a good option for your pipes.
Do you patch the openings after a repair?
Concrete patching is included on our repairs. Drywall and stucco patching are available on request.
What areas do you serve?
Six Southern California counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura and San Diego.
How soon can you come out?
Same-day service is usually available. Give us a call and our team will confirm a time.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Accepted payments: Visa, MasterCard, cash and checks.
